Imagine waking up tomorrow and realizing that every child in Antelope Valley has a safe place to sleep, every parent has access to nourishing food, and every family has the support they need to thrive. What would it mean if we could win, sustainably, the battle against homelessness for women, children, and families in our community?

Los Angeles County faces one of the most severe homelessness crises in the nation, with more than 72,000 individuals unhoused. Families, women, and children are disproportionately impacted, especially in Service Planning Area 1 (Antelope Valley).

Lucia Hope proposes the development of an 81-acre trauma-informed community that integrates rapid-deployment housing pods, education facilities, food security programs, workforce development hubs, and wraparound services into one holistic environment.

Phased Build-Out Plan

  • Phase 1: Land acquisition and rapid-deployment pods with essential services. Immediate relief for approximately 250–300 families.
  • Phase 2: Expansion with gardens, orchards, classrooms, and communal kitchens.
  • Phase 3: Full build-out of permanent housing, workforce hubs, and generational community infrastructure.

Our 81-acre trauma-informed community integrates housing, education, food security, workforce development, and wraparound services into one holistic environment designed to address the root causes of homelessness and create pathways to lasting stability.
